FastIron WS Compact Switches

The FastIron WS Series are compact Power over Ethernet (PoE) switches designed for cost-effective network convergence solutions. The FastIron WS series comes in both 10/100 Mbps models and 10/100/1000 Mbps models. The 10/100/1000 Mbps model names include a “G” in the suffix to identify its Gigabit Ethernet capabilities. FastIron WS series is available in PoE ready and non-PoE models.

FastIron WS 10/100 models: The FastIron WS 10/100 non-PoE models support 20 or 44 10/100 Mbps RJ45 ports plus 4 combo copper/fiber Gigabit Ethernet ports supporting 10/100/1000 Mbps (RJ45) or 100/1000 Mbps Ethernet Fiber (SFP) connectivity. The PoE ready models support 20 or 44 10/100 Mbps RJ45 802.3af PoE ports plus 4 combo copper/fiber Gigabit Ethernet ports supporting 10/100/1000 Mbps (RJ45) 802.3af PoE or 100/1000 Mbps Ethernet Fiber (SFP) connectivity.

FastIron WS 10/100/1000 models:

The FastIron WS Gigabit Ethernet non-PoE models support 20 or 44 10/100/1000 Mbps RJ45 ports plus 4 combo copper/fiber Gigabit Ethernet ports supporting 10/100/1000 Mbps (RJ45) or 100/1000 Mbps Ethernet Fiber (SFP) connectivity. The FastIron WS Series switches deliver advanced Layer 2, Base Layer 3 and Edge Layer 3 (EdgePREM) features based on the company’s field-proven IronWare networking software. Base Layer 3 features include IPv4 static routes, RIP route advertisement, VRRP, virtual and routed interfaces, ECMP and DHCP relay. EdgePREM software includes IPv4 routing features such as OSFP and RIPv1/v2 in addition to features supported in Base Layer 3. The EdgePREM software can either be pre-installed or can be upgraded in the field via the EdgePREM upgrade kit

FastIron Workgroup X-Series L2 Switches

• FWS X-series is available in two models:24-port 10/100/1000-Mbps (RJ-45) with the FWS X424, and 48-port 10/100/1000-Mbps (RJ-45) with the FWS X448.Both include four SFP ports to support SX,LX,LHA,and CWDM GbE fiber optics.
