FastIron LS
Foundry’s FastIron LS Series are compact high performance switches that support 20 or 44 10/100/1000 Mbps RJ45 ports plus 4 combo copper/fiber Gigabit Ethernet ports supporting 10/100/1000 Mbps (RJ45) or 100/1000 Mbps Ethernet Fiber (SFP) connectivity. In addition, the FastIron LS Series switches support optional field-upgradeable 10GbE modules for cost-effective solution for 10/100/1000 Mbps network access and the flexibility to support 10-GE. The 24 port models support up to three 10GbE ports while the 48 port models support up to two 10GbE ports.
The FastIron LS series can be field-upgraded to support IronStack, Foundry’s stacking solution. With IronStack, up to 8 FastIron LS series switches can be stacked together operating as a single logical chassis.
The FastIron LS Series switches deliver advanced Layer 2, Base Layer 3 and Edge Layer 3 (EdgePREM) features based on the company’s field-proven IronWare networking software. Base Layer 3 features include IPv4 static routes, RIP route advertisement, VRRP, virtual and routed interfaces, ECMP and DHCP relay. EdgePREM software includes IPv4 routing features such as OSFP and RIPv1/v2 in addition to features supported in Base Layer 3. The EdgePREM software can either be pre-installed or can be upgraded in the field via the EdgePREM upgrade kit.
Pluggable 10-GE modules, XFP and SFP transceivers and additional CX4 cables are optional and must be purchased separately

FastIron LS-STK Series Switches
Foundry’s FastIron LS-STK Series are compact, high performance, IronStack enabled switches that support 20 or 44 10/100/1000 Mbps RJ45 ports plus 4 combo copper/fiber Gigabit Ethernet ports supporting 10/100/1000 Mbps (RJ45) or 100/1000 Mbps Ethernet Fiber (SFP) connectivity. The FastIron LS-STK Series switches include two pre-installed 1-port 10GbE CX4 modules for IronStack. With IronStack, up to 8 FastIron LS-STK series switches can be stacked together operating as a single logical chassis. In addition, the 24 port models support an optional field upgradeable 10GbE module for high speed data connectivity. The FastIron LS-STK Series switches deliver advanced Layer 2 and Base Layer 3 features with IronStack technology. Base Layer 3 features include IPv4 static routes, RIP route advertisement, VRRP, virtual and routed interfaces, and DHCP relay.
